Canada & Beyond: The Local Community is designed and written for educators to meet the expectations of the Ontario social studies curriculum.  Students will learn, explore, discover, analyze, and communicate findings for a variety of topics including: their local community, its characteristics and services, and how it meets the needs of the people who live and work there. Students are introduced to the inquiry process, and will use this process when conducting their investigations.
